Something Fresh

January Jaunts

Three years ago to this date, I wrote a post noting that I finally spent Makar Sankrant the way it is meant to be spent – flying kites and all. Today, I went to an Indian store to look for tilgul, only to be confronted by a seemingly unknowing Gujarati girl trying very hard to figure what tilgul was. So instead I had coconut water and bhel and pretended that’s what we do on Makar Sankrant.

On another note, ATV’s are fun. Driving a Mercedes Benz SUV too. And who said dark ‘n stormy’s are a thing for the sailors only? And that Americans can’t make paella de mariscos?

Three questions that need answering soon. When do you move on to the next thing? When do you know you’re done? And most importantly, whom do you trust?

Happy Makar Sankrant – even though the kites didn’t go higher and higher, here’s hoping you do.

  1. Grammar nazi-ing your post. There are a couple of apostrophes in there that shouldn’t be. On the other hand, what is tilgul? Educate us..
