I want it more for you than for 1.1 billion people. I can’t take another Johannesburg 2003 or a Mumbai 2010. I can’t take the vicarious pain. Let me be clear – it’s not about me and your fans. Without meaning any disrespect whatsoever, it’s not even about the 10 other guys on the field. It’s not about that hundred either – I know you don’t care. And it’s definitely not about all those make-believe ‘fans’ who show up, making political and entertainment scenes. Destiny, please don’t be cruel. Now is NOT the time.
